Transformant: Multichannel Formant Filter Effect (VST2/VST3/AU)
Transformant is a multichannel formant filter effect plugin that creates gritty, honking, and nasal sounds. It features stereo field shaping through separate oscillators and vowel controls, plus a distortion chain for harmonic enhancement. The plugin processes spectrally rich input signals like sawtooth bass and drums.
Available for Windows 7 and up, and macOS as VST2, VST3, and Audio Unit formats. Linux users can build from source code. The plugin requires no special hardware requirements and comes with installation instructions in the README file.
