EFFEK by Theta Audio Research is a delay and flanger plugin modeled after the 1-bit adaptive delta modulation (ADM) architecture of vintage 1983 rack units.
- Hardware-accurate 1-bit ADM codec with 250 kHz to 1 MHz bit clock
- Six selectable memory range banks spanning 0.25 ms to 1024 ms delay times
- Shared VCO clock driving continuous varispeed glide and sine LFO modulation (0.1–10 Hz)
- Bipolar feedback with 12 kHz loop filter and bipolar delay mix
- Defeatable mechanical interlock modes including All-Buttons-In bus contention and No-Buttons limiter
Compatible with macOS Apple Silicon hosts supporting VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats.
